K2 Glass Doctor - Windshield & Headlight Repair Kit

K2 Glass Doctor is a windshield repair kit designed to easily fill cracks and spider veins on glass. With K2 Glass Doctor, you can eliminate the problem of chips caused by stone impact. The resin included in the kit fills the chipped glass, then hardens after exposure to sunlight, leaving a completely transparent surface. Using the K2 Glass Doctor kit hides the chip on the windshield, making it invisible and less distracting while driving. It also prevents the chip from growing in size. With the K2 Glass Doctor repair kit, you don't have to worry about a windshield chip preventing your car from passing the technical inspection or having to replace the entire windshield.

Directions for use: Clean any loose glass particles from the chip using a needle. Also clean the entire area around the damage. Apply the self-adhesive seal to the glass over the chip. Remove the protective film from one side of the seal. Apply the seal so that the chip is centered in the hole and the flap is facing up. Press the seal firmly onto the glass. Remove the protective film from the top of the seal. Install the base onto the seal so that the ears overlap. Ensure it is pressed firmly onto the seal. Pour the contents of the resin tube into the base through the opening at the top. Keep some resin for the penultimate stage of the repair. Wipe off excess resin and close the resin container. Insert the syringe with the plunger fully depressed into the top hole. Ensure it is correctly seated. Extract air from the base by holding the syringe body with one hand and lifting the syringe plunger with the other. Lock the plunger by securing the first wedge onto the spring clip. Release and let the syringe sit for 10 minutes to extract all air. Remove the syringe and draw air into it. Reinsert the syringe and check that it is securely fastened. Press the syringe plunger down and lock it on the second wedge, locking the plunger with a rotating motion on the spring clip. Leave the syringe locked in this position for 20 minutes. Then remove the syringe. Using a razor blade, score the edge of the base and peel it off the glass. Remove any excess resin dripping from the glass. Again, apply one or more drops of resin to the chipped area and stick a transparent curing film over it, squeezing out any air bubbles from underneath. Expose the glass where K2 Glass Doctor was applied to sunlight for at least 15 minutes to allow the resin to harden. After the resin has hardened, gently scrape off the curing film and excess resin with a razor blade.

Set includes: Syringe, tube with filler, razor blade, funnel base, self-adhesive seal, self-curing film, needle for cleaning the crack.

Important notes: Do not use in direct sunlight. Do not apply to hot glass. Apply in a shaded area. To remove any adhesive residue, you will need the razor blade included in the kit. Do not allow resin to come into contact with painted elements.
